Head reached out to Duckett after video criticism

Australia's Travis Head says he contacted England's Ben Duckett after a video, circulated on social media before the Melbourne Test, appeared to show the England batsman in a drunken state.

The England team had already initiated an investigation following reports that players had been drinking heavily during a break in the coastal town of Noosa between the second and third Ashes Tests.

One unverified video, which increased scrutiny on the team and Duckett specifically, seemed to depict the opener intoxicated.

Head, who has developed a rapport with Duckett during the last two Ashes series, said he wanted to check on his well-being. "I get on with Ducky well and reached out to him to see if he was going alright," Head stated.

He added that while cricketers live a very public life, everyone remains human. "What you do in your personal time is up to you," Head said. "I know we live a high profile life and some people are more high profile than others.

At the end of the day, it is a bit stiff but I don't think there is any real issue."
