Texans clinch play-off spot and Ravens beat Packers

CJ Stroud threw for 244 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions to lead the Houston Texans to a 20-16 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday.

The win clinches an NFL play-off berth for the Texans for the third consecutive year.

Two early touchdown passes from Stroud proved decisive.

He connected with Jayden Higgins on a 75-yard score and found Jaylin Noel for a 43-yard touchdown within the game's first six minutes, giving Houston a lead they would not relinquish despite a late Chargers fightback.

The victory extends the Texans' winning streak to eight games.

The result keeps Houston's hopes of winning the AFC South division alive and simultaneously eliminates their rivals, the Indianapolis Colts, from play-off contention.

For the already-qualified Chargers, the loss ensures the AFC West title will go to the Denver Broncos.

In other Saturday action, the Baltimore Ravens kept their own play-off hopes alive with a win over the Green Bay Packers.

Derrick Henry was instrumental, rushing for a season-high 216 yards and four touchdowns.

Earlier in Los Angeles, the Texans established a rapid 14-0 lead.

The Chargers responded with a field goal from Cameron Dicker, who later missed a 32-yard attempt before halftime.

It was the kicker's first career miss from within 40 yards.
